The candle smelled great, but it isn’t really $14 smell great. We allowed it to burn for as long as necessary and poured the oil as instructed, but it solidified after a couple of minutes and left an extremely sticky film on my back and on my boyfriend’s hands. We didn’t even use very much of it either, so the volume isn’t relevant. We had to get in the shower and scrub everything off pretty harshly. I’m not exactly sure what this candle is made of, but it was harder to get off than regular wax simply because of the lower viscosity and the greasy texture.I wouldn’t want to get this candle again and I’m not really sure if we’re going to use it for anything except a plain old, overpriced candle after this. 3/5 stars if only because it smells nice.

There’s definitely something wrong with the candle I got. First of all, I had already had one from a reputable (in store) dealer, so I know how it is suppose to feel. This was far too waxy, much thicker than the real one. It also burned much hotter, causing a burn on my hand (the real one becomes oily and is merely warm to the touch). It left an incredibility waxy reside that dried very quickly and left a thick waxy reside on skin, unlike the real candle that stays liquid and actually is an oil.I’m pretty sure this is a fake or some such, as the physical store I bought one from was quite a bit different.I got it from Spice Things Up, but they’re all fulfilled by Amazon, and from my understanding they all sit in an Amazon warehouse until they are fulfilled, so who knows.

This was my first time ever using a massage candle. It smells really nice! It takes about 10-20 minutes of burning to get a decent amount of oil. The photo I attached to this review is after I let it burn for 20 minutes and it has cooled down already. When you pour it on your skin, the initial contact is hot but not to the point that it is uncomfortable. The oil rubs in very silky and smooth into the skin. Does not leave a waxy or sticky residue. The scent lasts on your skin for a while. The only dislike is that the wax does not burn evenly so a lot of the wax does not get used. Maybe if they make it as a 3 wick candle, it will burn better. I do highly recommend this if you want to add some spice to he bedroom!

I can’t say enough about this product! I bought this for a romantic night with my boyfriend and he loved it!! The candle smells impressive. When you light the candle, it burns evenly. The directions say to pour in your hand then apply to the skin, but we poured directly to the skin and it was fine. When the candle melts down to an oil, it doesn’t burn when you drizle it onto skin .. and it massages into the skin so well. My boyfriend said i gave him the best massage yet!! I will buy this in bulk.

I purchased this instead of more traditional hot wax play. The scent is nice without being overwhelming; fruity and flowery but does not overtake the room. This candle melts into a very soothing warm oil which is most appropriate for massage; use in small doses and it is easily absorbed into the skin without feeling greasy. He likes it and so do I. Thumbs up from both of us. His hands are extraordinarily rough and this oil massage made them more than tolerable for a few hours, so more thumbs up from me. I took away one star because the product arrived with an opened seal and missing the lid, also slightly dented container. The missing lid only prevents me from transporting the candle.WARNING, even though there is pouring spout, the melted oil will still dribble down the side of the tin, make certain the the surface you set it on is acceptable for residual wax/oil. I still recommend the product.We have used it twice, both times rather liberally, and there is about half the product left to enjoy. I expect to order this again.

Smells lovely and melts ok’ish, but it gave my very sensitive skin an allergic rash. Always bought the Guavalava hemp, vegan ones from Earthly Body, and read this one was the same. It’s not.And swore I could return this one when I purchased it. I rarely buy if I can’t…so, not sure what I missed.

The candle smells nice, and would be a nice candle. We did not enjoy it for massage use. As others have said, we found it “sticky”, and to make it feel like we were doing anything we had to use a lot of it. The wick was not exposed when I opened the can and I had to dig the wax out of the center to find it. I just ordered some low temperature candles to see if they are any better.

Lovely scent! This is my third time to purchase this brand (Karma Sutra) of massage candles. I’ve tried several brands, but these are the best. I prefer them because of the following reasons:1. Best selection of scents. They also are not overpowering.2. Metal container instead of glass or ceramic. Being a massage candle, you will most likely get slippery hands at a point while using this. The ceramic and glass massage candles will break of you drop them. Not the case with these.3. Pour spout! Essential for a nice massage candle.4. Lid! Keep dust and other debris out in between uses so that your candle does not get icky. This is important with all candles, but it’s especially important with massage candles as the wax is on your body. (Gross if dust and stuff gets in…)5. Skin absorbs wax/oil combo. Unlike some brands, this candle melts into less of a wax and more of a massage oil. It gets absorbed by the skin!
